Thread: 3 Amigos - Symptoms and Remedy

I never drive alone. I have three amigos with me nearly all the time. The odd thing is, when I'd like a bit of company, when I drive to Canberra or Adelaide, I am on my own. Back in the suburbs my amigos return. I wonder if this is a location based haunting phenomenon. Will an exorcism help?
Nanocom tells me that the "RHS front sensor is intermittent more than 20 times." When I replace the brake pads in December, I'll swap the sensors over. Hopefully the fault will be logged on the LHS. If the fault stays on the RHS it will be hub change time. Or check the electrics

more than likely the just the join in the sensor cable,,
does your new sensor have the one piece cable?

I have not bought the sensor yet. The join, the one on the inner guard? Remove that and hard wire it? or at the ABS computer end?

Only resolves the problem if the circuit pins are in a dry joint state...

A $10 Multi Meter can confirm that without butchering wiring

join the join, (?) would be my first job,,, if it doest cure it you've lost nothing.
LR knew about the problem hence the later one piece wire.

My heart is bleeding every time i say that but better see live inputs of the sensors cos happened to me too often that nanocom gave false fault codes in relation with the SLABS ECU or it didnt give any code while there was one logged retrieved with hawkeye then when it reocurred it was double checked with autologic just to be sure and it was exactly the opposite sensor. In addition there were few cases when nanocom said ''no codes'' while there were 2 codes logged about SLS... it's nice and reliable with live data but when it comes to SLABS and ACE fault codes i hate to say that it can be full of sh*t from time to time... that's why i have both nanocom and hawkeye cos for 100% perfect diagnose the best from both is needed... believe me or not

Before you swap the sensors over, disconnect the wire at the inner RHS guard joiner and attach a Multi Meter. Then give the wire a wriggle where it leaves the wheel bracket to the guard. May be a broken wire and only faults when you have suspension travel and turning.
Chased this fault for months with all other stationary tests indicating there was no fault. Only happened when entering a road/shopping car park through a gutter. Stripped the old wire and found the break just above the grommet. New one from Mario fixed the problem.
