    New headlight globes

I need to replace a headlight globe on my D2a and thought I might as well upgrade to those new efficient Philips 50% globes. However, does anyone know which is the correct globe, an H4 or H7? Has anyone had any bad experiences with these?

    Regards

I've run them in my D2 for a couple of years. Alot better than standard and leave those 4000k + blue globes for dead, especially when it's wet or on twilight. I've only just lost a globe recently after about two year use. For the D2 pre face lift it's the H4's. Not sure what the D2a takes.

    Cheers

I'm interested in this too. Are you looking to upgrade both low and high beam in the D2a?

Yep: H7's - only a single filament; the H4 has both high and low filament in the one globe. I installed a set in my high beam units last year and they're great. My brother thought I had HID units. A bit generous perhaps but I won't be installing spotties any more.

    cheers,

    H7

I changed both my high beams and low beams to Philips +80 globes a couple of months ago and the difference is quite noticeable.
Definitley not in the realms of HID but well worth doing in my opinion.

If you want to do the factory fog lights as well, they are H11.

By the way - I'm thinking of getting these for the fog lights in 3000K.

I've just installed Narva 100 H4 globes in mine.

    Narva

Very happy with the result and cost (around $50 from Repco)

I'm not sure how much they cost so will do the low beams first and see how good they are. I don't do much night driving and with the standard high beam plus driving lights I have enough light. However, if good value for money I may change those, too.

I can confirm that it is H7. I run Narva Plus 50's in mine.
