Removing plastic wheel arch and side trim

My 75mm flares turned up today, so I am looking at fitting them on Sunday.

Does anyone have some tips on removing the factory plastic wheel arch trim and side mouldings?

    Hey Cjt,
I just pulled mine off, they were stuck on firmly but just being careful they should come off with out a prob. I cant remember what I used to clean of the compound that was left on the guards.

    Mark,

Thanks for that, I will see how that goes.

Otherwise I thought possibly heating them up to soften the glue.

ye had the same problems when i took my guards off, tried everything to get that glue off... but only got 80% off.. had to get a panel beater mate to get it off, he used some sort of buffing tool....

Pulled them off on the weekend, they came of with a bit of force.

I was able to clean the double sided foam / tape of 3 of them, but the passenger side front was stuck on with some black glue that will not budge.

I have no idea on how to get it off as the citrus cleaner I used on the others does nothing.
