    Separate D2a Section....

Yeah I said it out loud.....I reckon we should have a different section specifically for D2a owners......and not for D2 wannabee D2a owners who change lights etc to be like us that are most awesome.

Whilst I appreciate a sharing of some heritage......D2a's are just a better all round vehicle in the looks and off road department. Even the rear lights look better. Less we also forget that the owners are handsomer, smarter and just rock.

Maybe pics are need to tell the story:

D2......nice.....bit like being married to the same bird for 20+ yrs

D2a ( Smokey as the model )....hubba hubba.....bit like the bird at the local that makes you go sccchaawwwinngg

Seriously...need I say more . So poll away....feel free to add any constructive comments......not a typical D2 owner response ,

    Regards

    Stevo

I have trouble understanding why we have separate D1 and D2 sections let alone a D2a section - after all how much discussion can you have about different lights .

If you get a separate D2a section, I want a RRS section, a series 1 88 section, a 101 section and a series 1 swb station wagon section.

    I like the rigged poll

Not overly convinced on that buddy boy!

Less we also forget that the owners are handsomer, smarter and just rock.
You forgot the bit about having smaller man parts too, hence the need for the "a" extras!

Though you need an extra question on the polls stating "No, not ANOTHER section on AULRO...just get on with it".

Some of the same model was used as it is a perfect example of an uberawesome D2a .

Hmmmm I think I could hear a D2 owner trying to give some kind of response.......buddy boy .

No trouble backing you on your splits there Garry....obviously if you were a D2a owner you could see why there needs to be a division. Bit like we are all humans...but who wants to catch a train with the great unwashed..........not me............ ,

    We only need two sections:

    1. Proper Land Rovers (with leaf springs). Defenders could probably be allowed in this section as a special concession to their shape and in recognition of their heritage.

    2. All the others.

    1998 300 Tdi Defender Trayback 2006 - often fitted with a Trayon slide-on camper.

While I respect your inherent manlyness in owning a D2 of any description, this thread is a pretty weak troll. I have seen your efforts in the Soapbox and would expect more.

    cheers

Maybe we also need a section for those over 50 and those under 50 as clearly this is about the uberawesome D2a .......not the BC version of LR's ,

P.S. If you comment...you must poll regardless....

I might have filled in the poll, but I couldn't find an option that reflected my opinion on the subject.

If you had included an option along the lines of the following, I might have been tempted.

Option 5: Yes a separate section for Discovery 2a with a subcategory within that section separating those with metallic paint finish from the others.

I went to tick the box next to "Pocketed headlights are for poofs" but it appears to be missing
