    Second Hand CD/Radio

    Hi all

I have just purchased a second hand CD/Radio from a dismantled Disco II - to replace my original Tape deck/Radio.

Two things - where can I send the 'new' CD/Radio for a service prior to installation??

And, the biggie - how do I get the thing able to operate when installed - like, code numbers, etc??

Thanks for any info - just that I don't have any tapes to play!!!! ... and want to keep things original as I can.

    Regards

If the seller didn't give you the radio code you might have problems. However, if you can get the VIN from that dismantled D2, a dealer should be able to give you the code.

Once you have that, you should able to send it for service. Having said that, the service agent may have access to codes.

I would not worry about getting it serviced as the cost would be more than it's worth. Just put it in and test it. If it's faulty see if it can be swapped. There are no real serviceable parts.

As for the code you will need that. It should have come with it. A good Dismantler should have got it from the manual and wrote it on it if it had one. I don't no how you would go about finding one though.
    Cheers, David.
