    Help!

    Please help,

    Engine light on no probs as I know running fine all day, now it just wont fire up and engine light on ????

    Sorry its v8 auto read that no other lights on juat engine all othees go out

    It did start up thankfully but still bewildered by the problem at hand.

    Hi BMBLBEE, we had a similar problem with our 1999 Discovery II V8.

    Does the engine spin over with the starter motor?

    Try turning the ignition on, and wait until the airbag warning light goes off, then turn the ignition off and repeat the above procedure three times, then try to start the engine. If it starts, it is most likely that the fuel pump is failing.

    It could also be an immobiliser problem causing it to not fire.

    Do you have access to a handheld diagnostic scan tool? A scan tool will enable you to read and clear any faults that have logged in the ECU system. It will also tell you in the live data whether certain sensors are working etc.
