    V8 ECU's relocation.

Given the precarious position of the ECU's, both engine and auto has anyone relocated these to a better position. I can see an issue in lengthening the harness (cutting/lengthening wires) but is the option to try to seal them up as best as one can?

I know there's been threads on the TD engine bay mounted ones but couldn't find anything on V8/Autos.

Aside from TCM the ECU is high enough that if water gets it - you've got far bigger problems!

TCM can be placed in a sealable container and the loom sealed.

Leave lid off for daily use, put lid on when crossing deep water.

ECU is almost base of dash... Water up there will have destroyed/damaged more than that by then including BCU, Alarm, Trans shifter wiring (under console) SRS module etc
