Thread: TD5 Series 2 Central Locking issues

I am experinceing problems with the central locking. The drivers door will not lock or unlock using the remote central locking, i have to use the key. The front passengers door will unlock but not lock. The rear passenger doors will lock and unlock but very slowly. Has anyone experinced this and how did you fix it?

I recently had to replace the lock mechenism on the drivers side passenger door. It would lock ok with the key but woudl not unlock. Pulling the little lock button didn't work either, you could only unlock it by pulling the internal door lever.

The fault was a solinoid in the lock mechenism, seems there are two, one to unlock and one to lock.

Not sure if this is the same though as you seem to have problems with more than one lock unless it a coincidence that two went together
