    Prestolite Alternator

    Hello All,

    I paid for a Denso Alternator for my TD5 but ended up with a Prestolite. I am yet to fit it as i have not heard of that brand before? Should i return it and get a denso? Are they a cheap copy?

    I just confirmed my pricing on the alternators, Prestolite are considerably cheaper.take it back and get the Denso you paid for or get the price difference in refund

    Had 3 (yes 3) replacement Prestolite starter motors fitted to my old Discovery. All failed within 2 weeks. Bit the bullet and brought a Bosch one. The Prestolite ones are cheap rubbish.
