Fuel cap wont open!!!
Hi all. 02 Petrol V8. The Valeo stock petrol cap has been playing up for a little while, just making it hard to do up. Lubricated the threads with some CRC and it seemed ok, but a bit sticky at times. Now it decides, with 5l let in the tank, to not open at all - just the ratchet sound. Tried jiggling it, squeezing, pushing down, pulling up and screw driver...any hints before I have to break it off with a large flat blade?
Cheers

Any common screw cap off a Holden/Ford/mitsubishi/toyota etc will fit and work correctly, so don't be shy about pinging the top off the old one. About 50% of LR fuel caps I see are stuffed anyway, don't hold pressure. Just get another one.
