Fitting ARB Bullbar and Dynamica rope question

					Hi all,
Question about fitting an ARB deluxe winch bar and winch to a D2a.

Is it possible to easily fit the winch after the bar is on, I am thinking of the extra weight in the whole combo trying to line it all up would make it difficult.

Also has anyone fitted an Aluminium hawse fairlead for use with Dynamica type rope with the ARB bar. There is a big gap above the fairlead. I am thinking of getting a painted aluminium plate to cover the gap that fits under the fairlead.
I can get an offset fairlead to lift the rope opening up but that's going to place a lot of load on the rope as it will come off the drum go up and over the fairlead. And... it still doesn't fill in the whole opening.

Ideas welcome.

Regards Gordo

					Hi mate.

I just fitted a 12,000lb winch with Dynamica rope to my parents D2 with a ARB deluxe bar - I did it with the bar attached to the car, there was plenty of room
I also has the big gap above the fairlead - haven't done anything with that yet..

I have just fitted a Warn 9.5XP to an ARB winch bar on a D2.
... there were a few hicoughs that probably won't be experienced with other winches....
The 6hp motor on the 9.5XP is on the wrong end to spool off the bottom, and it has a heat sink which is larger than the cutout in the LH crush can.
Solution... Cut a section out of the RH crush can to fit the motor and weld it into the cut out on the LH crush can.
I just got an offset fairlead from Precision Engineering with a 17.5mm offset. It seems to fit okay.
Hope this helps.

Yes ARB wont fit the Warn 9.5 XP to their deluxe Bar on the D2 as "doesn't fit" . but they worry about complying with ADR etc.and the integrity of the bar/crumple zones etc.
I fitted a warn magnum 9000lb winch with 4.2 HP motor to the deluxe bar which is already on the D2. goes straight on.
cheers
