    What model Land Rover?

But to answer your question, probably not.

If you clear the code and the fault is still there its only going to come back.
I have no experience with discos but I do know on my RR P38 a common fault is a bad connection on the seat connectors which can get knocked about under the front seats. All SRS wiring is bight yellow so easy to trace. Might be worth a look under your seats for any yellow plugs, undo and redo and see if you are lucky.

Yellow connector under the drivers seat is the main cause.
Unplug and spray with CRC contact cleaner. If it still trips, then look into the glovebox contents disturbing the yellow connectors there.

    complete shutdown of td5

Thanks for the imfo guys it fixed my srs problem, heres one that might help someone , yesterday in the pouring rain my td5 completely shut down nothing worked although it still ran , no light or indicators ,no hazard lights, heater or wipers ,I could not even lock it. I had to disconnect the battery to stop the alarm from continually going off then lock it manually. After a lot of headaches , we started looking in the obvious places ,so I removed the fuse box and found that water had got inside it and buggered up everything. I dismantled the fuse box and let it dry overnight then I washed it with non acetone nail polish remover to remove any oxidication, I did this with a cotton bud then I repaired any protective coating with clear nail polish, I reassembled it and put it back in reconnected the battery and presto everything work again.. I have even found the water leak around the windscreen rubber, I hope this helps anybody whos having the same problems .

    Fuse box

Quite a common fault to get water damage to the interior
fuse box/IDM on D2's in UK it causes lots of faults to BCU
controlled items (stuff that is timed).

It would be worthwhile looking for leaks arround the scuttle
windscreen or roofs for water ingress.
