    D2a transfer case?

    G/Day
Today i changed my diff oils and tranfer case oil....& i undone a bolt on the side of the case which i thought was the filler plug it had a copper washer on it so i removed this & then the drain plug....
Then as im lying there draining the oil i found the oil filler/level plug behind handbrake cable... which i also removed.....
i filled the transfer using the side plug i removed first....
As i pumped 2.1 ltrs in ,when full it ran out of the rear filler/level plug.... behind the handbrake cable...
Now have i undone something i shouldn't have..... by removing the bolt on the side of the case?
    cheers Smally

The filler plug is the behind the hand brake cable, you should be able to use the end of a 1/2" breaker bar.
The bolt you removed was probably one of the case bolts.

OMG!! You'd better get it on a tow truck and get it down to me tomorrow, that is the widget that holds the intermediate shaft in place!

    Kidding !!!

It is only the blanking plug for when a TC case temp switch is used, good thing you didn't fill it up to that level you'd have a leak for sure!

    Any more amigos????
