Model? engine? Transmission?(manual i'm guessing?)
Last night was the absolute worst experience driving my disco (series 2 tds manual), the car lost power on the highway, i pulled over and couldnt get it to move at all and it allowed changing gears without the clutch being engagedAfter half an hour of waving down cars someone finally stopped and called the RACV for me and i got the car towed

Now i have what seems to be a long wait until monday to find out what is wrong and what it will cost to fix, has this happened to anybody else?

maybe the difflock on the transfer somehow slipped into neutral? You would have no drive. If you don't have diff lock , you might still have the the difflock fitting on the transfer.
It s a 2000 discovery series 2 td5 manual, will find out later today the damage
I had this experience once when I had been using low range and hadn't engaged it properly back to high range.
Car drove ok for about 10 km then went into neutral. After a moment of blind panic reason set in and I pulled the lever back properly .....
willis
verdict is this the clutch is completly broken, costly fix but i must say the landy had done over 260,000 on the original clutch pretty good!
