Broken Uni and No Drive to the rear HELP
Hi All
I have broken a uni in the front drive shaft and as such the drive shaft fell out. The bigger problem it that there is no drive to the rear wheels at all just a clunking noise when i let the clutch out.
I am thinking the Transfer box has gone as well????? thoughts????
Thanks

I assume you have the model D2 without a locking centre differential? If so you are stuck properly. If you have the model with CDL fitted but not connected you can manually operate the diff lock with a spanner, someone else will chime in on how to get to it.

If you have a 1999 to mid 2001 D2 then you will still have the CDL internals, you need to reach up on top of the front output housing of the case and feel around for a threaded 8mm stud poking out of the top of the housing, with a 10mm spanner flat at the base of it. Turn the spanner toward the outside of the vehicle until you hear a click, you should then be unable to rotate the front out put flange more than a few degrees either way which means the CDL is engaged. You can now drive the vehicle, but it will behave a bit odd in 2wd, and you will have a few extra lights up on the dash, a visit from the 3 amigos, (That is unless they were already there) but don't worry.
