Seeing Disco's have ABS and are more plentiful, I'm wandering if Disco Jockeys can shed some light on the subject? Are these pumps serviceable?

I'm perplexed at the seeming lack of a source of parts. It can't be an engineering problem: a smallish electric motor direct driving an eccentric impeller that compresses brake fluid? Spare me!

OK it's for the brakes! Do I need to be annointed by the Archbishop of the Holy Church of Brakedom before I can play with it?

I accept replacing the accumulator, relay & fuse but to add a new pump into the mix would amount to nearly 50% of the car's value!
