Thread: Facia and binnacle switches

I had a LR switch installed under the fog lamp switch for my driving lights from the auto elec at clovelly so its certainly possible to source the parts.

Just be careful which switches you get - some of the stock switches are push on psh off, and some are momentary on only. You'd need some sort of latching device to turn your driving lights on and off in that case.

I have just done this. You need a cruise control switch as that is latching. Then get an Aux light switch and use the cover off that to go on the CC switch. A bit of mucking around to sort the wiring and your done. If your not confident with the wiring part get the switches and get an Auto Electrician to do it for you.

Thanks for advice. I've bought a couple of latching switches. Do you know what amperage these switches will tolerate? My driving lights go through a relay so that will be ok but my rear light doesn't but only draws about half an amp. Don't want to install a relay unless I have to.
