2mm is not much, could just be that it has sat longer and more oil has drained down from the top end?
I'd like to ask all the TD5 owners out there about their engine oil levels. I have been through the diesel in the oil problem. I thought it was fixed as a leaking injector was found and replaced. But over time the oil level still seems to be rising. Problem is that I have a work ute so the Disco only gets driven on weekends and trips away with or without the van. The oil level has risen 2mm (on the dipstick) over 320km's. What are your thoughts???? I am really over this!!!Bst4x4xfar has an interesting post on this as well.

My 2003 TD5 Auto with 293,000kms only uses oil, it never makes oil.
In saying this, after an oil change it nearly always ends up a mm or 2 over full, due to me not waiting long enough to check when filling.
Over 10,000kms it goes down to halfway between full and low on the dipstick.
I am probably lucky in this regard.

About to hit 160k. Bought at 120k. Changed the oil when we got it, and every 10k there after. It's been almost 10k since the last change, and when I checked the stick on the weekend the oil still isn't black .... light brown.
Oil level has never changed between services ... it doesn't make any and doesn't use any. I've never had to add extra oil.
I'd (initially) go with dswatts assesment ..... and 320km of short haul driving probably isn't a good sample set to be assesing this on .... I'd do some thousands of km's then see where it's stands.
