Red Line water wetter. any Good?

    Hi

Having a look at the Water wetter
Red Line Oils Australia - Redline Motor & Gear Oil, Race Oils, Auto Transmission Fluid, Hydraulic Oils, WaterWetter, Fuel Additives, 2 & 4 Stroke Oils, Suspension Fluids, Fleet Products, Diesel Additives
scroll down a bit and you'll find it.

I am thinking the Blue stuff is the go to add to my OAT.

Any thoughts or experience out there? I do a fair bit of sand driving so any help for the cooling has to be good. cheers
    Matt

It works, a lot of my mates used to use it in their race cars back in the nineties, I used a different product that did a similar thing as I was sponsored by the opposition, but if you aren't having any cooling issues I wouldn't.

There was talk in the US that it may react with Dexcool (US GM coolant which is the same thing as LR OAT) as some were getting a funny scum in their water reservoirs after dropping it in

This is the bit I was concerned about. my viscouse fan has died now and I am planning a EL/EF electric fan conversion. but My temp gauge doesn't move when I drive on the sand but it must be rising as the engine saver beeps at me but it is just above road temp.

Just triying to help the old truck as much as I can.

    Cheers

The LR temp gauge has fixed positions and indicates temp in a range not actual temp. By the time it indicates hot its way too late!, dont trust it, get a probe for actual temp readout
