Radiator Leak leading to Glug Glug in Cabin

    Hi

I had my radiator replaced on Tuesday, I noticed on Wednesday that it was low on fluid so I topped it up thinkoing that maybe it had not been flushed through properly (luckily I have a low coolant alarm).
This morning I saw that it was really low on fluid topped it up again, and then noticed that when I turned corners I heard a glug, glug and liquid running sound in the cabin, and when I put my hand up behind the pedals it was damp.

I will be taking it back to be sorted out but would luck some tips as to where this may be leaking from, all I can think of is that during the radiator change they damaged - dont know how - or pulled out the pipes going into the heater matrix, any ideas?

Unless they replaced the heater inlet and outlet hoses, removing a radiator doesn't involve pulling on those.
Could be that your heater core might have been on it's last legs and it just went due to new coolant eating the last strands of what was holding it together, or pressure flushing the system

My guess would be that they didn't bleen the system properly ab you have air in the system

I it's just a loose hose then I believe putting the heater on high when bleeding reduces the glugging, but may also work when driving around afterwards. I replaced my rad not long ago but still get some glugging as there's a small leak around the drain plug - not enough to lose a lot of fluid but enough to allow air to get sucked in when it de pressurises/cools down.

Short term solution I have bypassed the heater matrix as even in Melbourne in Summer I dont need it, and then when I find some time I will replace the core as it is a 99 D2, and I know at some stage the previous owner had green coolant in, and the quantity of sludge in the system has to be seen to be believed, so can well believe that it would make sense to replace the matrix.
