The service adviser from the dealer said that it was the bolt on the oil pump that has been known to come out thus causing the oil pump to fail. As mine is, well was, a 2000 it was one of the earlier ones that were not loctite in place.
I mentioned that TD5's were known for that, it was amazing how fast he jumped on to the defensive and said that the mechanic had only ever seen three fail.
He said that mine was the most catastrophic failure they sad seen. What an honour.
