Thread: D2 Clutch Master cylinder

Hi All,

I'm trying to remove the CM cylinder in our 97 D2 V8, how do I remove the clip from the pivot pin?

It's like the one in the (blurry) picture below on the brake pedal.

Hi Stuart, to remove you need to use your finger nail or a flat screw driver to lift that bent part of the retaining clip up and slide to push it off.
Same as clevis clip on Hand Brake

Also you have a discovery 1, Disco 2s weren't until 1999 production
