He used 20% less fuel and his Hydrogen generator is powered by a second 100 Amp alternator. His set up cost him cost him $780-- all up.
Unless he was deluded in what he told me, he now saves 20% of his costs for a trip. But I do not think so. He did show me his hydrogen generator, and he adds either an hydroxide, or sodium Bicarbonate [I forget which he told me] to the water in his hydrogen generator every 3000 km.
One day I would love to make one of these for my Land Rover.
