    HD Thrust Bearing FTC5200 HD

    Im going to replace the thrust bearing on my D2, having put up with the noise for long enough.

    Has anyone replaced the standard thrust bearing with the plastic carrier with the heavy duty aluminium carrier? FTC5200 HD

    Also, whats peoples thoughts on Terrafirma stuff? Looking at their 2inch lift kit.

    I use the heavy duty aluminium one in my Defender and also in another D2. Both are from Rakeway in conjuction with their solid flywheels aswell.

    I had the plastic one completely melt

    Is it the thrust bearing or spigot bush?
    Does it usually only make a noise when cold?
