265 70 16 - Yep Tyres
Please don't shoot me down over the standard tyre question however I have searched high and low including the Good Oil and cannot get a definaitive direction on whether 265 70 16' AT's will fit on my D2.
Can anyone shed any light?
Car has a 2inch lift.
For anyone who has gone up from 235 or 245 how do the 265's handle on the road? Do they track or steer the car off line when the road is worn in?
Thanks

I've just recently put 265-75/R16 General Grabber AT tyres on my Disco, she's standard height & I've no issues other than some minor rubbing on the inside of the mudguard (plastic) when at Full lock left. You'll have to turn your spare wheel holder upside down to accommodate the spare, easy enough to do. No dramas thus far otherwise but the guy I bought them off said at full flex on standard height they rub in the rear but the truck will pretty much be on the bump stops at the point they do begin to rub so with yours being lifted 2" I don't think you'll have a problem. They do follow the groove on a worn in road a little but I went from strictly road tyres to these babies so I'm unsure if it's made worse by this particular tyre or not.

I've got 265/70 16 Pirelli ATRs on the D2, standard height suspension - no rubbing anywhere. The spare also fits on the rear door without needing to invert the carrier - just! Handles well, wife very happy

Are there any issues with the gearing and Speedo etc?

Speedo is out a little, probably over 5% according to my calculations. Gearing seems fine but I'm no expert.

Yep, it will fit no problems. Just had new Mickey T. 265/75/R16 MTZ's put on my D2a. I've also got a 2" lift and all fits well except for one thing.
When full locked left, my tires rub against the trailing arm so I either have to wait for the tires to wear down a bit, or get a wheel spacer.
Or I can just try and remember not to full lock to the left. The strange thing is that full lock right is no problems, doesn't rub, just left????????

265 65 17 on a D2
I have a similar situation, I have 265 BFG Muddies, and the disco rides beautifully but the speedo reads 8 to 10 k's over. I do have the problem that they rub when on full left lock but not on right. I have been told that there is a bolt that limits the full turning lock, if you put a washer under that bolt and it will limit the full lock of the wheel and stop the rubbing.
Hope it helps
