I am looking for a power supply which goes through the ignition switch. There appears to be such a spot on the passenger compartment fuse panel. I have attached a copy of the panel and the spot is shown with the red line.
Does anyone know what this location is for? Can I use it as a power supply? What's the current limit?
Thanks
Mundy

						Hi Mundy,
Fuses 24,25,27,28,30,31 are ignition power sources...
i use theseto grab power when i need it. My Engine Saver is powered off Fuse 27.

ooops - they're called "Add-a - Fuse" and you get them here Swe-Check - The Fuse Warehouse

..... and the result is a neat job

I got more info to share on the fuses......
Fuses 24,25,27,28,30,31 are 'ignition on' power sources...
Fuses 15,16,18,19,26,32, are 'accessory on' power sources
Fuses 1,2,4,5,6,7,8,12,13,20 are 'ALWAYS powered on"
I run my CB off fuse 5 (unused on mine but reserved for Daylight Running Lights on the posh models)
Disclaimer: This info is from my own scribbled notes, taken down on a hot uncomfortable January evening, multimeter in hand, resting on sore 58yr old knees, elbows in the foot well, a crick in the neck, however I reckon they're 100% accurate for my D2 though - can't vouch for other D2s so check before using eh! - all care taken but no responsibility accepted.

Socket (S13) on the front of the under-dash fusebox (green-arrowed) -
This socket is fed from the Ignition Switch on a 3.0mm2 cable, through C0028-4, via F30 (20 Amp).
F30 also protects the feeds to the Mirror Switch, via C590-3 and the Cruise Control Switch, via C590-8.
I can supply the correct Sumitomo connector that fits into this socket, with a terminal to suit upto 3.0mm2 cable -
.
I'm expecting a delivery, any day now, of some of the 5-Way Connectors to fit the 5-Pin socket (S12) below S13 -
I'll be selling the Brown connectors on eBay (UK), for £4.25 + P&P
If anyone wants one before then, drop me a PM.
Paul.

Given my desire to get it finished today, and my lack of patients to wait for something ordered online, I did a hard wired fuse, similar to onebobs but a little more rudamentary. Down side is if the fuse blows, I need to re-solder. I piggy backed it off the Dash light fuse.
I soldered the power wire strait to the blade fuse. Im sure there are a million reasons not to do it this way, but it will do for now. I covered it with liquid electrical tape for good measure.
