yep serviced they should last easily into the 500K mark.
left with the "sealed for life" mentality youd be lucky to get 150K out of a well worked one.
Had my 2003 TD5 auto serviced today. Last time was at 240,000kms, today it sits at 301,600kms. Diagnosis was perfect condition.
This should help dispel the rumours they fail at 250,000kms or thereabouts. I should add that the auto of has been serviced by the dealer every 40-60,000 kms throughout its life. The auto specialist said this makes a huge difference to the life of the auto.
