No if I loved spending money I go to a local LR dealer and buy the bits over the counter, rather than searching for the best quality vs price compromise.

I reckon you can do a full retrofit with new oem and genuine parts for under $1300. That is ball park for a 2" lift and the end result is more suitable for what I drive.

That sounds like a good plan to me. I'll not have a chance to do the cable until after Easter but I reckon that will work out well.

What are the specs for the wabco compressor? Is there an ARB (or similar) one that is similar flow/pressure rated? It may be easier to get parts if needed. Should be able to tuck a small ARB compressor in the back drivers side of the engine bay and a small tank in the standard compressor location under the car.

Not towing but do a bit of camping and want to sort the saggy bum when loaded without going to hd springs etc. I don't really have any desire to lift the D2, but the ability to raise the rear end on demand would be useful on occassion.

The wabco compressor is the same unit used in the original installs. It is the compressor plus housing and has all the valving to control the airbags as part of the assembly. I think a couple of people have patched other compressors into the existing valving but it would be difficult to achieve from without the original compressor assembly as a starting point.

I am about to do this on my D1 UTE td5 project.

I was supplied an ACE loom so I made up my own SLS loom thanks to info i found here and out of the rave manual.

All up 12 wires. I was lucky enough to get all the plugs and compressor housing from a wreck for only a few hundred dollars. I was unable to get the loom out as the car was on the ground.

I know over the weekend if it all works.

I've not done a complete conversion, however I have converted BACK to SLS after someone put coils in. So I still had the loom.

I can confidently say that the ride is infinitely better, at it makes me feel a little bit cooler haha

You can buy brand new pneumatic line the same as the factory line from rs-online to make a brand new pneumatic harness, just need to source the fittings.

Mine was springs from the start, then I made the mistake of riding in one with SLS........

The wiring is the only bit that concerns me, the mechanics is all good. Paul (Offtrack) seemed to have the ideas, but appears to have dropped out of sight (site)

So reading above, appears to be twelve wires?.. Compressor and sensors, they obviously have plugs to be sourced, where does the other end of those wires go?
