Where to locate the engine saver.

I have an Engine Saver T2 combo and have been wondering where to put it. Can those who have one of these mounted possibly provide a photo of where they mounted theirs?

    Thanks.

Sorry Mundy, only found your PM this morning

    lets see if this works?

I mounted mine on the under dash panel just above where my left knee is when I'm in the seat, I.e the panel that you drop open to access the fuses box etc.

It was the easiest place to fit to, does not hinder me in way, there is easy access to wiring paths and ign power sources and you can view the display easily without it being in your face 100% of the time (that would be annoying as it flashes regularly doing it's self checking).

Thanks, Alpick. It looks like the logical location but when I sat behind the wheel in my driving position, it looked like the steering wheel would obstruct the display, which seemed to be against the point. I do take your point about not wanting it to be too intrusive. Do you find you can read it easily when driving along?

The top photo was taken from about my eye height when seated so I do have to move my head a little to glance at it but over time i have found myself looking at it less and less, just know that if it beeps on start its self tested the fluid level. I do tend to pay a bit of attention to the head temp when pulling hard up hills with a bit of weight.

I initially had the alarm set on 100 but after pulling a loaded camper trailer up the escarpment to towoomba last summer and hitting 100 pretty quickly I have altered the alarm to 105.

great comfort to have the combo setup!

    cheers

The temp sensor is fitted to the head on the left (pax) rear side as per the manufacturers suggestion .

I mounted my tm2 above the drivers head in the parcel shelf. Ran all the wiring up the pillar. Looks neat and out of the way. I can take a pick of it tonight when I get home if you like.
