During my investigations i noticed a very faint ticking/clockwork type noise coming from the compressor when the ignition was off, the noise stopped when power to the compressor was disconnected at the fuse.

No one on the forum could tell me what the noise was caused by but it must produce some kind of battery drain, but if it was the cause of battery drain everyone who leaves their car sitting for long periods would suffer it regularly?
