Surely they'll round it down to $434.55 for you !!
!!!!!
Have just been quoted $434.57 to replace my Disco key.
The rubber pads perished ages ago and foolishly, rather than replace them I simply pulled them out and would put my finger through the hole to press the little micro button inside. Now the buttons have flicked off....it means a whole new key.
$434.57![]()
I can lock and unlock the car with the key in the door handle, but when I open the car door the alarm sounds till I turn the ignition on. Anyone know if this can be disabled?

I might have one for an early D2 (its a 315 Mhz key) - a guy at work with a disco said he wanted it 2 months ago but I think he's forgotten. PM me if you're interested. I wont put the price but If you have a look in the markets section you can probably still find it. Damn workmates.....![]()
I'm always seeing them on eBay and I'm pretty certain they don't cost that much.
Triumph rover spares in Adelaide quoted me $180 programmed with a blade cut to suit
There was also one on eBay last week for $100
If the switches are faulty / broken, then can they be replaced? Something like Jaycar's catalogue Nr SP0600 - a single pole, single throw pc mounted switch would work, as they are about 0.7mm in size. Less than $1 each and a couple of minutes with some solder wick (Jaycar NS3020) ( to remove the existing solder) and solder to put the new ones in, should do the trick. Altronics and others can also supply the switches. Worth a try.
Then either get a new key body with the new buttons or the silicon buttons (polymex) into your existing key body.
Also, see this thread - http://www.aulro.com/afvb/discovery-...ss-remote.html - similar comments, although they talk about SP0601

Try this UK supplier:
CWE100680KIT KEY BLANK & TRANSMITTER KIT | shop | www.lrseries.com | L. R. Series
About $127.00.
How can you tell which key frequency is for your model Disco when ordering?
Generally, the 99 models have 315MHz & the later cars 433MHz.
