    Brush bars & side steps - ARB bull bar

    Hi all, I've been looking at getting some side steps, preferably sliders that have the side brush bars going to the bull bar. I have called ARB and they only do then for the D1. So 2 questionsoes a D2 use the same mounts etc as the D1? (ie can you fit d1 steps to d2 and vice versa).


    And does anyone know who/where I can get some of these? I like the look and protection the brush bars would provide but obviously having some difficulty locating. I emailed a guy in the UK, forgot the site that advertised some but he never got back to me.

    I'm guessing that they don't do them for a D2 because of the SRS airbags.

    Maybe because if the srs but if that were the case why would they make a bull bar for them? I don't see how brush bars could severely affect the srs in a vehicle, considering I have one of their bull bars which states it is srs compliant is it really that difficult to make brush bars that are also compliant? Anyways I will continue my search.

    A mate has a new model Triton with TJM bullbar and ARB sidesteps with bruch guards. I would assume the Triton being new has air bags, and therefore would assume that brush guards can be made compatible with airbag equipped vehicles.

    Its about the shock pulse. The bullbar can be SRS complient, and they set the crush cans to suit, but if you add brush bars it stiffenes the bullbar from moving and absorbing the intital impace and increases the crash pulse. I doubt a brush bar that doesn't affect the crash pulse would do much at all.

    I'm sure they would have no problem in designing a bullbar and brush bar that is SRS compatible....but a compatible modular design may be more difficult.
