Definitely coolant and not window washer fluid?
I can usually smell washer fluid inside the cabin when I use the windscreen jets.
Just a thought.....
Occasionally I get a whiff of coolant inside the cabin. There are no leaks that can be seen in the engine bay and a recent pressure test didn't reveal a problem. I don't have any wet carpet or any coolant leak under the car (that I can tell given the normal condensation pool). I understand that there's no hot water valve in the heater system so its not from that. I can't understand why I only smell it every now and again. I am wondering where I should look - does anyone have any suggestions?

If it's definitely coolant, it almost has to be the heater core doesn't it?
I had hot coolant smell coming into the cabin, it was a leaking hed rear welsh plug, the oat was seeping out of it. V8 Disco2.
I'd suggest heater matrix or o rings to the heater matrix hoses. I've had plenty of coolant leaks that I can smell as soon as I'm out of the car but none have been evident when I'm inside it.

Thanks for the responses, guys. There's no coolant smell outside the cabin, only in and only occasionally. I'm sure its not window washer fluid. I'm half way into installing a T2 combo engine saver and will see if there's a correlation between temperature (and hence pressure) and the scent. If so, its in the heater system somewhere and presumably a very small weep that only occurs when the pressure is highest.
I could pull the console and heater system apart but I wanted to avoid being like the guy on the SuperCheap ad trying to find the rattle.
Check that your A/C bleeds aren't blocked.
When mine were, it smelt a bit like coolant.
