    cheap snorkel for disco 2

Hey All, Just to let you all know that I bought a new snorkel from ebay unknown brand $219 delivered to my door, 2 hours and a few stubbies and its fitted, looks good and seals perfectly, so consider these before forking out large wads of cash, I got quoted between $600 and $800 fitted from the larger dealers. i guess it does pay to look around

    cheers

The seller is British 4wd on eBay. I have bought one too but still yet to fit. It is very similar to the safari snorkel and says discovery2 on the side of the snorkel. I will try to find a listing. This is the one I bought, copy and paste it into the search bar on eBay.

I wanted to get one of these cheaper snorkels for my D1, but i was warned of cheaper plastic that perishes too quickly and gets brittle then breaks. I after making a set of extractors for my dune buggy i have decided i'll make a steel one from exhaust to go inside the mudguard like a mantec one, which i think look the best by far, only thing that puts me off is the raked back intake as i want a donaldson pre cleaner. Best of luck with yours i hope it's a quality bit of gear, as everyone else said pics or it didn't happen

    Cheers

That's my biggest worry. But I figure if it starts to deteriorate I will get on the back of British 4wd and then upgrade to the safari.

Rather than paint it is there like a clear protective paint that you can use prior to install?
