    Bonnet Protector for D2a

It seems bonnet protectors for D2a's are made of unobtanium. Has anyone mde up one that sits on top of their bullbar, or applied any other interesting/different approach?

^^ and it's a pain in the arse to wash the mud out haha.

Does anyone else have this plastic rear spoiler on their d2? I've never seen it anywhere apart from my disco.

I have one of those on mine, not too sure if actually does anything, but I don't mind the look now I am used to it.
I have only seen a couple on my travels

i have an "invisable car bra " fitted to mine protects the bonnet , lights , bumbers etc on the front , had it for a few years now and am still happy with its performance as i can see where it has saved my bonnet several times and the marks pretty well polish out with some veiwplex

garyclr4wd in Sydney stocks them and they look great and work quite well. Had 1 on my D2 now for ......18months?? Deflects stones, insects and being plastic, has proved to be quite resilient so far. (Yeah they are a bit of a leaf catcher if the car sits around doing nothing)

He doesn't send them through the post due to the length so you may have to pay for a courier or local pick-up

Personally i just polish ours, the plastic shings look like **** IMO and i hate the way they attract leaves. A land cruiser i owned for about 3 weeks had one that went in the bin as soon as i brought it home and advertised it

The 'rear spoiler' is actually an air scoop to get rid of the low pressure behind a vehicle shaped likea brick dunny, therefore stopping dust getting sucked in the back door seal and all over the rear window, they work a treat.

    Cheers

I'm surprised the rear air scoops are not more widely used and available - must be because rear doors never leak - GRIN!
