Would I still be able to run the standard shocks with them, or would they need to be replaced at the same time?

When spring manufacturers, 4wdrivers etc start using proper terminology we may all get somewhere...

A "nominal" lift is often 40mm in modern vehicles.. But is based on so many factors...

As you lifted the vehicle the axle pulled slightly off its previous position.
Changing the length of the rod from the steering box to the LHF wheel will fix this.

It can be done at home with no issues with actual wheel alignment.

My 110 has had this since I bought it... any tips on where to do this adjustment?

If you want stock height you need higher rate X shorter OR same (or softer) rate X longer....

Looks like ill be getting the 2" raised coils and shocks from suspension stuff then.
They've been fantastic to deal with, $770 for the whole shebang.
Why was i going to ARB for $1400 OMEs?

Why the difference in price.

There is a major difference in how the springs are developed and engineered for fit and performance between the 2 companies and that will justify some of the cost difference. I think spring manufacturer qualities are the similar, both are Australian springs from excellent manufacturers although 10-15 years ago the manufacturer of the SS springs did take a large chunk of the custom spring market because their springs were cheaper and turn around was a lot faster. IIRC theirs may have also been less prone to settling - perhaps better scragging while manufacturing or something. Anyway, with that much difference in price, I would bet a large chunk of it comes from shock quality also.

Depending on how often you go off road, what your garage door height is etc. I have a 2inch lift in mine, its great off road, but a makes parking in the city alot limited. And to be honest, I prob didnt need to put it in.

Have you thought of a 1 inch lift and bigger tyres? I'm pretty sure OME do a 1 inch lift.

If I'd do it again, Id only put 1 inch lift in and get a set of decent tyres. Just resetting the suspension back to standard height was a good enough gain. The 2 inch kit lifted mine nearly 75mm at the back and 68mm at the front thats how much it had sagged. 25mm rear and 18mm front.

Dont for getto extend brake hoses.

I just keep an eye on my drive shaft, grease it once a fortnight and have a good look at it while Im there.

The ARBB quote included fitting and wheel alignment....
IIRC it was about $400 all up.
