    Cool Disco 2000 TD5 auto won't Start,,,,HELP Please

usally I am miles dfrom home when I strike trouble but here I am in the home paddock. Went down the street for some groceries and engine started missins at about 80K's, backed off a bit and drove home without further problems, next morning decided to chwck sedimenter to see if had dirty fuel, fuel seemed OK . When I turned key on fuel pump sounds as if it is sucking air,nd makes at terrible noise....could this simply be a stuffed fuel pump....or could there be another >>>>>> in the pile,,,,,,,,,,

check your injector sealing washers, sounds like aerated fuel to me, or a partially blocked fuel pump pickup screen.

    Hello,
If you took off the filter you have to bleed the fuel system as in Rave basically you have to turn on the key all lights on (do not start), wait 30sec or till the pump stops turn off then repeat this about 6 times and then start, hard starting in my case was the injector seals and o-rings.

    G'day Mate.
PM me if you are still stuck. I'm just down the road at the Lakes, have a Nanocom and the same vehicle so can swap stuff to check if need be. Won't be available until tonight though.

I'm having similar problem on my 03 td5 atm. Started misfiring in the morning on the way to work and in the afternoon it didnt start at all. I took the ecu out and found oil on the red plug. I replaced the injector harness last night and after a few hours of cleaning the oil out of the connector the car finally started. It starts fine now but still misfires intermitently. I'll get my codes read today and I'll let you know how I go.
