Not really, at all. Most likely suspect is that you have 1 or both engine mounts failing/ed. Last one we replaced improved the whole vehicle, in most aspects
, except if there is ANY backlash evident in your transfer case or diffs, it will be more obvious when selecting drive or reverse.
If this is the case, only replace with original LR ones, aftermarket ones are rubbish.
The flex plate is up to the task IMO, the P38a ones break regularly , I wouldn't think they are any sort of upgrade at all. Having said that I always replace the Td5 flexplate when fitting a trans or just the Torque converter .
