Today I noticed that ULP went up 20 cents/litre overnight. I'm glad I fuelled up the day before. Dunno what PULP did - and that's what I filled with.

Yeup! It went from $1.21 to $1.39 at my local. What a jib!

I filled my Mazda up, but the Disco is gonna have to wait for the price drop now.

Filled up at Shell Kincumber last night .
Unleaded 122.9 less 14c Coles Docket.
LR tank and 2 jerries 140 litres for $154.

I bet that will be the best I get for a long time, but enough to get to the Gold Coast where it is usually cheap at Shell North Kirra.

    Geez, that's cheap.

Just back in Brisbane after going through the centre. Diesel prices varied from $1.38 in Warwick(Q) and Clare (SA) (cheapest I saw), and $2.33 at King's Canyon.

133 or 134c/l for diesel this afternoon at Richmond (Sydney) and took on 110litres. Very happy at the low prices of fuel at the moment.

    Petrol vs Diesel

The price of diesel drops when industrial demand drops (transportation etc), versus the price of petrol being more volatile (couldn't help myself). It has been pretty steady for the past 12 to 18 mths, but it is worrying from purely a state of the business economy that the price in Brisbane of diesel has dropped from $1.52 / litre down to $1.44 / litre.

filled the 44 the other day...

pondered how much it was going to cost me as I ordered my food...

$9.50 for the chicken chilli burger and chips with gravy so 20c more.

The WVO, once more, was free

According to API, business must be booming in that case! We're up about 20c/l from last year and averaging the same as 2007-8 when prices went through the roof. I would expect other factors to influence prices also.
