    help

    evening all.,

    have just had mildreds radiator and thermostat replaced and engine temp seems fine, but on the way home from shop with my lady driving and me following she ran out of drive this was after a good 8klms form workshop,.
    pulled over and i went to try,. thinking she somehow had done something wrong,. but there was no drive,. turned off and waited 5m and started her up again drive seeemed fine for about 3klm same thing again .,left her there on hway ,.drove home and came back with help., i was sure that the mack had played with trans oil cooler pipes and didnt refill [asked him after and swore didnt touch at all]when checking level oil gushed out seemed way over full emptied to correct level went thru gears and still no joy .,had it towed home tried drive in low range and worked innitially put back into high and nothing .,read thru all could find and ended up lost would anyone have a firm idea from these symtoms .,also should mention previously did take a while to warm up in the mornin before engaging drive properly but then ran fine

    If it' got a TD5 you don't need to undo the hoses to the tranmition cooler when doing a radiator.
    But it is possible it was removed.

    Sounds like low oil in the transmition symptom.
    The transmition needs to be checked after running through the gears and placed in park while running.
    This is while the rig is level, recheck when oil is warm.

    hey thanks Allen.,

    I was concerned though at the full stream of oil that came out as if taking engine plug off to change oil .,also when tow truck dropped it off had to do some car shuffling so hoped i would be able to move her into shed after doing this put her in low and seemed to reverse up drive no prob .,tried back in high nothing again.,drained excess oil out and still no difference will take disemble pan and filter today and keep posted thanks .,
