    Owning a v8 d2

    Gday fellow disco owners,

    I was just wondering if anyone has owned a v8 d2 for sometime and never had overheating or liner slippage issues? I'm just curious of how common this problem actually is.

    I bought a 2001 V8 with 150K on it nearly 3 years ago.
    It came with FULL dealer history and stamps since birth.
    I have since done only 20K (not alot of use) with no issues at all.
    Uses no oil between changes (when it is used, distances are min 2K at a time with an occasional 2nd car life) and the only coolant loss was due to a faulty coolant cap.

    2002 V8 auto, bought four years ago with just over 90,000kms. Just about to hit 200,000kms.

    Engine hadn't been opened before i purchased. I've since replaced a few gaskets hare and there (as you do), however to your question have never had any issues with overheating or liners.

    I have had D2 V8 for 10 months. Done 5k lots of stop start journeys. I have all bills from the previous owner since 2001. Car has done 83k, it's never been an issue for this one.

    Great engine when regularly serviced and 95 - 98 Ron fuel used.
