Start the car after clearing the faults
Grab the LHS Front sensor wire and give it a good wriggle around
You will probably find that the Modulator will activate and the lights will come on.
Just get a new sensor and replace it if this happens you can get them for 75 Pounds from Paddocks in the UK

So is this normally due to bad wiring or a stuffed sensor?

Bad wiring, stuffed sensor or bad connection

Look at the LH connector as well that is in the engine bay. When you buy a sensor now, I understand the wire runs from the wheel to the control unit, getting rid of the connection (and perhaps another fault point.) Clean it up and use some electrical connection cleaner lubricant (available from Jaycar) to clean it up some more and get a better connection. Also useful for the selector switch for the auto and lots of other electrical connectors / switches.

Normally it's due to a bad sensor or wiring or connection. I have had a few that fault output intermittent and replaced sensor with new type that the wiring goes back to the slabs unit and still had the fault. Replaced the hub fault gone.

Ok I will check connections first. Then I will replace sensor. Last option will be hub. Let you know how I go.

    Thanks,

    Jared
