Ive got the mates rates kit. Dobinsons and SS shocks.
Its good value for money, I dont do real serious off road like rock crawling, but also have to drive it most days in the city, and its fine.
5 year warranty and 1/2 the price of other kits.
Suspension stuff were great to work with, had one shock leak and they had a new one on my door within 2 days.

Mind you as my only source of income is driving a tractor at harvest time i kinda have to... oh and the occaisional wheeling and dealing ;)

I have to hide all my receipts though, mum goes mental when she finds one :D
I figure that if I spend this much on it, and it takes me to the amazing places we have in our country, lets me meet new and interesting people, a teaches me a couple of new skills then it's totally worth it :)

I'm going to keep it simple, don't really see the need for all the bells and whistles, as pointed out in another recent post, it's better to add something and learn how to use it properly, then move on to something else.
I shudder to think what I've spent on it so far, but thats okay :D

So what? Can you take your sooper bling mobile to the cape? Can you drive a gravel road without cracking your rims because you run tyres slightly thinner than a super models arm?
Some people have the wrong attitude when it comes to cars :)
And who needs a house when you have a swag, an engel full of cold ones and a starry night above?

Exactly right, my mates are all like that, its interesting though they all have an underlying respect for the Rover, probably because when i pull up next to them at light my winch fairlead is at their window height...

LOL vehicle respect is a pretty foreign concept amongst my group of friends.
Day I got the Disco, pulled up and they jumped in, started ****ing around pulling all the cupholders and **** out, just being total *******.
Needless to say, I was not happy! :mad:
So now, I only give lifts to the pretty girls ;):wasntme::angel:
And that's exactly right. I could have spent less than I already have, gotten a vehicle with everything on it. This way, I'm not buying someone elses project, I get to make my own, build the way I want it.
I've loved every minute of it! :)
Winch and suspension, and that will do me for a while.
