I got mine done through a TJM dealer, who stocked airtec and he said for LR safari was the way to go.
Mantec ones are good though, so it really comes down to your preference on the looks

I have no experience with them, but have you seen these on ebay? It looks like someone may have copied either a TJM or Safari snorkel. It's just plastic, right?

I just meant that being plastic, it is probably fairly easy to copy.

I haven't decided which I like better... the mantec looks cleaner... the safari kind of looks like a giant slug has decided to call your fender home... but I still like it.

It depends what you want it for.
If it's mainly for water crossings, the safari is better.
If you do alot of dusty roads, then the rear facing intake of the mantec is better.
That said, you can (I'm sure) fit a pre-cleaner head to a safari, or just turn the intake around. Not sure the effect of the latter on its performance though.
I think Safari is the better option, it's handy having an Australian based product for warranty reasons I'd think.
Mantec is a single function, where as with a safari you can change it a bit.

    Comedy gold.

Muppet you'd do well in Telemarketing. "The Safari not only excels at water crossings, but also it slices and dices your vegetables with it's innovative multi-purpose intake grill. But wait that's not all.... in addition to the already impressive list of functions the Safari will also pack your campsite while you take a dip in a billabong"
