    $45 Cargo makeover.

Thought I would post this incase of any interest.

I liked the idea of a cargo retention system featured in the discovery II accessories brochure but didn't want to part with 200+ pounds for the genuine net and gargo liner.

I ended up buying some rubber matting from Masters ($19 per meter), Bunnings have the same matting for 10+ dollars more so I guess you can always use their price match policy.

Picked up the cargo net for $20 from my local Autobarn. They stock 2 sizes and I went for the larger of the two.

I used some cardboard to create a template of left side of the cargo floor and traced it straight on the rubber, flipped it the other way to get the right side.

Used a stanley knife to cut the matting and holes for the extra seat floor openings and cargo eyelets.

The job took about an hour, it looks good and does a great job at keeping things clean and stopping things slide around while driving.

I've attached some pics, the netting looks small but is quite stretchy.

The rubber liner and netting is great for daily stuff, shopping, back packs etc.. but I also wouldn't mind something like your ebay option.

The full liner on ebay should provide greater protection for the sides as well which is something we need when loading up for trips.

I like your idea of tucking the mat under the door sill protector strip, as I found my genuine LR mat can slide backwards and stop the back door closing properly, leading to blowing my own horn so to speak, when central locking the vehicle. Which can scare myself, bystanders, neighbours etc especially late at night.
