    D2a rear wheel carrier

    Quick and easy Q & A.
I need to temporarily remove my D2a rear wheel carrier.
Q - do the holding bolts have "welded on" or free standing nuts on the inside of the door? ie will I need to remove the interior panelling to hold the nuts/stop them from turning?

The rear door has captive nuts for the carrier, no need to remove anything inside.

    Exclamation Correction

To correct my earlier post, it seems that not all are captive, some are just nuts and bolts.

Mine were captive but it is not the case for all, I would give them a go and see if you can remove them, if not it is only a 5 minute job to remove the rear panel.

    Cheers

I removed the panel when I inverted my wheel carrier.
