If you check it out further, you can get a shaft made by Tom Woods in the US for around or just under A$600 and Jeep Konnection in Melbourne keep the Tom Woods shafts on the shelf for DII's too.

They are fully serviceable, including the centre joint, which is where most problems originate.

Cant buy uni joints?
They are available everywhere K5-LR4 and centre bearing SCV-082
I bought the unis for $23 each the centre bearing $72

I bought my uni's in perth from hardy Spicer and had them sent down to me. Heavy duty greasable ones.

But if you want to go greaseable centre bearing, you have to go with an aftermarket DC.

You really want the HD uni's too, K5-LR4 are just standard 1300 series Spicer uni's, you need K5-A757.
Sorry, can't recall the LR part #'s ATM, I just use genuine GKN's as I get a bloody good price, and you can see the difference between the stock 1300 uni and the LR HD ones in the photo's below.

The Tom Woods shaft I mentioned above uses 1310 uni's to give the same strength, and they are available everywhere off the shelf too.
The centring bearing is greaseable in situ (with an adapter they supply with the shaft)

The K5 LR4 were larger journals than the original ones I replaced @ 190K kms.
Besides 300nm split over two prop shafts, are H Duty neccessary?

As for the HD ones being needed, they'll last longer (if serviced) and I hate working on cars/getting my hands dirty, so that's a plus for me.

The bearing supply here gave me the bum steer and told me that there were no replacment unies or ball assy. Said he had many enquiries and they were not available.

Have decided to go for the heavy duty shaft and now that I have some part numbers I will rebuild my old shaft.

So to do the complete shaft, aka the uni, and the DC, do i need 3 of these K5-A757? Mines already been rebuilt all greasable but that was over $300, if i can buy the parts myself it would be alot better.
