    TD5 Coolant Drain Plug Torque?

I am about to do a drain, flush and refill of the Discovery TD5 cooling system, but cannot find the correct torque setting for when I replace the drain plug.

Anyone know what the correct torque setting is for the drain plug?

    Thanks
    Ian

There appears to be no setting for the drain plug, I can only find the engine block drain plug setting of 30Nm or 22lb/ft. Perhaps 20Nm at most would be ok given its size and placement.

Don't do it too tight or you'll crack the rail. Better that it's not as tight as it should be and you an keep an eye on it and give I a tweak later. I use thread sealant on mine as well.

Thank Guys, I think the idea of torquing it to 15-20Nm and using a sealant is the way to go rather than possibly cracking the rail.

It does not require much tightening at all. The sealing is provided by a washer with a rubber insert inside the inner diameter.
