fuel leak
g'day all
i've got a 2000 td5 disco and it has developed a fuel leak coming
from the top rear of the motor running down the bell housing and on
to the cross member, i've taken the plastic shroud off and can't seem to find where it's coming from, any help would be greatly apreciated.
cheers Noel

hi noel, same thing happened to me a couple of months ago, driving home pouring down rain i noticed the fuel level dropping fast then the disco started sliding around corners in the wet, lucky i wasnt to far from home and managed to pull into my street before running out of diesel and rolling into my driveway,i had diesel everywhere under the car,as ian said in the last post it was the fuel pressure regulator one of the fuel lines had split and pumped all the diesel out,had it fixed with no problems since

Noel, easily done yourself - there are a number of 'how to's' on the forum. I think Dave (Blknight) has one and Urban Panzer has on one on www.discovery2.co.uk / Workshop / Fuel Pressure Regulator
