After all Terrifirma are just a department at AllMakes that copies stuff from other companies and makes it in china.
Always? So in this case where the Terrafirma units are $250.00 and the Maxi Drive units at $650.00, you reckon the Maxi Drive units are worth the additional $400.00?

From what I understand the heavy duty steering rod is just a solid rod, so I don't see that there can be much differences in quality to justify spending the additional.
Plus the Paddock Spares unit has the mounting for the steering dampener to be retained so saves me chasing up a bolt on mount...
Will let you know about the products quality and performance once I have it (in approximately 8 days).

Did you actually get some other MD quotes ?

It's been ten years since I bought any, but they sure as hell weren't that exxy at the time and I like the design of them, using pinch clamps instead of jam nuts.

They install Maxdrive rear locking diffs and Maxdrive HD axles. Not sure about the front. Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Bob, MR have taken over the manufacturing of almost all the Maxi Drive bits including lockers except for the axles and drive flanges which is what Hi-Tough Engineering do

Talking to MR today, maxi items are 250 each rod (track rod and drag link) plus 38 each tie end and 80 for the damper bracket. Not exactly cheap.

Out of interest I asked about the D2 locker for the rear, $2380.

    Cheers,
    Nova
